The Ordered Plans of the Aureatect
In the massive mountain range of the old continent can be found the interconnected towering halls of the Kaladim Dominion. In their caverns echo the chants of the SledgeMeisters, who dictate to the masses their interpretations of the divine plan laid out by the creator, an omnipresent being known as the Aureatect. Meditation on the multiple facets of large crystals or the light glinting off of a vein of gold gave cryptic glimpses into the world and it’s purpose. Practitioners believe that everything and everyone is accounted for in the Great Plan, and that the completion if ever achieved leads the world into a golden age.
It was after a long and lonely pondering upon a vein of gold that one Prominent SledgeMeister returned and decreed that plans must be made for a ship unlike any other, even before the tentative agents of the yet-unformed alliance began to search for defectors.
More so than any other religion, clergy of the Aureatect dress excessively gaudy, with robes encrusted with gems, and lined with precious metals. This is far from simply vanity or greed, but gives them a better understanding of the myriad pieces and motions in play within the world. Each cleric holds a symbol of his office in the form of a pole handed war-hammer, with a large gemstone set in the head. Devotees will usually wear a ring, or pendant or some other trinket they can often be seen fidgeting with when trying to make an important decision.
